Graduate education is an important cornerstone of any university. The presence of vibrant graduate programs within a university is an indicator that the university is accomplishing its role of engaging in higher-level teaching and learning in specific academic disciplines and in engaging in original research.
Graduate education, with its emphasis on specialization, expertise, and disciplinal rigor, is a rarefied endeavor. Graduate programs are difficult to sustain as they demand of its students not only high aptitude in one’s area of specialization but time and resources as well.
Far Eastern University recognizes the importance of healthy graduate programs but recognizes, as well, the difficulty of encouraging students to pursue graduate education.
