Scholarship Grants

  • Merit - primary basis is the academic standing of the student
    1. Entrance Scholarship Grant

      Entrance is awarded to 1st year exam takers who meet the eligibility requirements and will enroll during the 1st semester of the academic year.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • At least superior rating in FEU-CAT and has a HS GWA of at least 88
      1. Requirements
        • Accomplished information sheet with 2×2 colored ID picture
        • Photocopy of form 138 or 4th Year report card
        • Photocopy of certificate of good moral character
      1. Benefits
        • Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous fees discount
        • Can be continuously availed for 4 years/ 5 years (depending on the degree program) provided that the grantee complies with the retention requirements
      1. Retention Requirements
        • Must be a regular student
        • GPA of at least  B (3.0)
        • No grade lower than C+ (2.5)
        • No major offense
    2. Academic

      Academic scholarship grant is awarded to regular students who meet the required general weighted average (GWA)/ grade point average (GPA) and has no major offense in the preceding semester.  For this academic year, this grant is in transition in terms of the policy implementation.  Academic new is the updated policy which governs the students with student number starting 2013 while academic residual is the old policy which governs the students with student number from 2012 and below.  Summer is not included in the coverage of the benefits.  Thus, the basis of the retention will always be the student performance on 1st and 2nd semester.

        • Full tuition discount for Top 10% and partial tuition discount for the remaining 90%
        • Can be enjoyed on the identified semester only
    3. JD Entrance

      JD Entrance is awarded to 1st year exam takers who successfully meet the eligibility requirements and will enroll during the 1st semester of the academic year in Juris Doctor at FEU Makati.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino Citizen of good moral character
        • Open to FEU graduates who belong to the Top 20 of their degree program from the Class of 2014 onwards
      2. Requirements
        • Accomplished information sheet with 2×2 colored ID picture
        • Original and photocopy of diploma or TOR (original copies for verification purpose only and shall be returned to applicant immediately after verification)
        • Certification of Latin Honor or ranking in the degree program
        • Original certificate of good moral character
      3. Benefits
        • Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous discount + allowances
        • Can be continuously availed for 4 years provided that the grantee complies with the retention requirements
      4. Retention Requirements
        • Must be a regular student
        • GWA of at least 83.88 unless otherwise changed by the Dean
        • No grade lower 82 unless otherwise changed by the Dean
        • No Major Offense
    4. IL Academic

      IL Academic is awarded to Institute of Law students who have acheieved academic excellence in the preceding semester. Recipients will be determined by rank based on a fixed number of slots by the Institute of Law Dean’s Office.

      1. Eligibility
        • Must be a regular student
        • GWA of at least 89 or its equivalent otherwise changed by the Dean
        • No grade lower than 83 or its equivalent otherwise changed by the Dean
        • No major offense
      2. Benefits
        • Full tuition discount – GWA of at least 91 or Partial tuition discount – GWA of at least 89
        • Can be enjoyed on the identified semester only
      3. Retention Requirements
        • Student must not have any failing marks during the entire duration of his/her stay in the University
    5. Graduate Studies Entrance

      GS Entrance is awarded to 1st year exam takers who meet the eligibility requirements and will enroll during the 1st semester of the academic year.  Specifically, applicants who will enroll in any of the eight (8) new programs in the graduate studies may become the grantees.

      1. Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology major in Clinical Psychology
      2. Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology major in Forensic Psychology
      3. Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology major in Industrial  Psychology
      4. Master of Science in Biology
      5. Doctor of Education major in Curriculum and Instruction
      6. Doctor of Education major in  Literature & Language Education
      7. Master of Arts in Education major in English Language Teaching
      8. Master of Arts in Education major in Guidance & Counseling
      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • Undergraduate GWA of at least 88 for Master’s degree while GWA of at least 91 for Doctorate degree
        • At least 1 year work experience
        • At least a high average GLT Score
      2. Requirements
        • Accomplished information sheet with 2×2 colored ID picture
        • Photocopy of transcript of records
        • Certificate of good moral character
        • Photocopy of certificate of employment
        • Photocopy of professional license, if applicable
      3. Benefits
        • Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous fees
        • Can be continuously availed for 3 year for Master’s while 5 years for Doctorate
      4. Retention Requirements
        • No grades lower than B (3.0)  for both Master’s & Doctorate degree programs
        • Must have a minimum academic load of at least 6 units
        • No dropped course
        • No failing grade
        • No major offense
    6. Teacher’s Scholarship Program

      Teachers Scholarship Program (TSP) is awarded to 1st year exam takers who meet the eligibility requirements and will enroll in the identified degree programs of the Institute of Education during the 1st semester of the academic year.  Endorsed nearly scholars of the Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) will also fall in this scholarship grant.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • At least superior rating in FEU CAT and has a HS GWA of at least 88
      2. Requirements
        • Accomplished information sheet with 2×2 colored ID picture
        • Photocopy of form 138 or 4th Year report card
        • Photocopy of Certificate of good moral character
      3. Benefits
        • Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous fees + allowances
        • Can be continuously availed for 4 years/ 5 years (depending on the degree program) provided that the grantee complies with the retention requirements

        • Must be a regular student
        • GPA of at least B (3.0)
        • No grade lower than C+ (2.5)

  • Needs-Based - primary basis is the financial capability of the student/ family
    1. LEAP (Long-Term Educational Assistance Program)

      Long-term education assistance program (LEAP) is awarded to students who are in dire need.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • Must be physically and mentally fit
        • Family income of not more P100,000 per year
        • FEU-CAT results of at least average rating
        • Underwent FEU qualifying financial evaluation
      2. Requirements
        • Duly accomplished application form with two (2) 2×2 colored pictures with white background (taken at least a month prior to application)
        • Two (2) recommendation letters from school administrators, faculty, alumni association, and the like (attach photocopy of valid ID of the recommender) addressed to AFA Director
        • Latest tax exemption certificate or income tax return of both parents
        • Map of residence from FEU including nearest landmarks
        • Good moral certification from High School (for incoming Freshmen)
        • Latest health certification from the University Health Service
        • Latest  guidance clearance from the Guidance and Counseling office for enrolled applicants
        • Print out of “My Grades” in the student portal showing the GWA or GPA
      3. Benefits
        • Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous fees discount +  allowances
        • Can be enjoyed for 4 years/ 5 years (depending on the degree program) provided the grantee complies with the retention requirements
      4. Retention Requirements
        • Regular student
        • GWA of at least 2.00 or  GPA of at least C+ (2.5)
        • No major offense
    2. FEU Tuition Discount

      FEU tuition discount is awarded to students who have stayed in the University for at least one (1) semester with a family income of not more than P360,000.00 per year.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • GWA of at least 2.25 or GPA of at least C (2.0) during the preceding semester
        • Enrolled with a minimum load of 15 units
        • No failing grade or dropped subjects during the preceding semester
        • No major offense
      1. Requirements
        • Duly accomplished Application form with two (2) 2×2 colored pictures with white background (taken at least a month prior to application)
        • For student leaders, certification from Student Development indicating the position
        • Latest tax exemption certificate or income tax return of both parents
        • Print out of “My Grades” in the student portal showing the GWA or GPA

    3. Nicanor Reyes Science Scholarship Program (NRSSP)

      Nicanor Reyes Science Scholarship Program (NRSSP) is awarded to students from the identified science high schools whose FEU CAT percentile score is superior with a HS GWA of at least 88 and an annual family income not exceeding P360,000.00 per year.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • FEU CAT percentile score of SUPERIOR and HS GWA of at least 88
      1. Requirements
        • Duly accomplished Application form with (1) recent 2×2 colored picture with white background
        • Latest tax exemption certificate or income tax return of both parents
        • Two (2) recommendation letters from school administrators or faculty (attach photocopy of valid ID of the recommender) addressed to AFA Director
        • Good moral certification from High School (for incoming Freshmen)
        • Certification of Indigency or any proof if beneficiary of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps), if any

        • Can be continuously availed for 4 years/ 5 years (depending on the degree program) provided that the grantee complies with the retention requirements

    4. JD Needs-Based

      JD needs-based is awarded to financially challenged 1st year exam takers who successfully meet the eligibility requirements and will enroll during the 1st semester of the academic year in Juris Doctor at FEU Makati.   Institute of Law (IL) Dean’s Office endorses the qualified applicants to AFA.

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • Must be physically and mentally fit
        • Family income of not more than P360,000 per year
        • GWA of at least 80 or its numerical equivalent in the degree program prior to first year law school unless otherwise changed by the Dean.
        •  LSQT scores shall be considered only in case there are ties or other considerations that may affect the scholarship as determined by the Dean of the Institute of Law.
      1. Requirements
        • Duly accomplished Application form with (1) recent 2×2 colored picture with white background
        • Original & photocopy of Diploma and TOR (original copies for verification purpose only and shall be returned to applicant immediately  after verification)
        • Latest tax exemption certificate or income tax return of both parents

    5. Graduate Studies Tuition Discount

      Graduate studies tuition discount is awarded to applicants who are either alumni, professionals or government employees.

      1. Eligibility
        • Must enroll at least 6 units in a semester during the 1st week of enrollment
        • At least 1 year work experience
        • Alumni: valid alumni ID
        • Employee: regular, fulltime employee
      1. Requirements
        • Duly accomplished Application form with (1) 2×2 colored picture with white background
        • Original certificate of employment with gross monthly compensation
        • Good moral certification
        • Photocopy of COR
        • Photocopy of FEU alumni ID for alumni
        • Copy of grades during the preceding semester, if any
      1. Benefits
        • 25% discount on basic tuition for alumni
        • 50% discount on basic tuition for government employees, school guidance counselor, nurses and teachers
        • 75% discount on basic tuition  for public school teachers
        • Can be enjoyed on the identified semester only

    6. Special Groups

      Special groups is awarded to undergraduate applicants with orthopedic disabilities or belong to indigenous group with a family income of not more than P360,000 per year

      1. Eligibility
        • Filipino citizen of good moral character
        • FEU-CAT results of at least average rating or GPA of at least 2.0
      1. Requirements
        • Duly accomplished Application form with two (2) 2×2 colored pictures with white background (taken at least a month prior to application)
        • Two (2) recommendation letters from school administrators, faculty, alumni association, and the like (attach photocopy of valid ID of the recommender) addressed to AFA Director
        • Latest tax exemption certificate or income tax return of both parents
        • Good moral certification from High School (for incoming Freshmen) or from Student Discipline Office (for enrolled applicants)
        • Latest health certification from the University Health Service
        • Latest  guidance clearance from the University Guidance & Counseling Office for enrolled applicants

    7. Presidential Decree 577 or P.D. 577

      In compliance with PD 577, the University supports those endorsed by AFP.  Slots are identified based on the total number of student population wherein the ratio is 1:2000.

      1. Eligibility
        • Legitimate children/declared beneficiaries (below 22 years old) of military personnel killed in action from September 21, 1972 – present.
      1. Requirements
        • Screening is done by AFP.
      1. Benefits
        • Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous fees discount
        • Can be enjoyed as long as the University receives endorsement from the AFP

Service scholarship grants support talented students who embody the core values of Fortitude, Excellence and Uprightness and help promote the University through their skills and talents.

  1. Athletics scholarship is awarded to qualified athletes identified by the Athletics Department.
  2. Cheering Squad is awarded to qualified members identified by the PE Department.
  3. Cultural is awarded to qualified members of the PCC groups identified by PCC.

  1. Eligibility
    • Must be endorsed by the department concerned using the standard matrix duly registered in Quality Management Office (QMO)

    • Must pass the audition or try-out conducted by the concerned department

    • Athletics and Cheering Squad - Full tuition + assessed miscellaneous  fees discount (For the identified semester only)
    • Cultural - Full tuition discount (For the identified semester only)
  1. Retention Requirements
    • Must have enrolled at least 4 subjects or minimum of 12 units in a semester except for graduating students
    • No major offense particularly related to the possession and use of drugs, alcoholic beverages and deadly weapon inside the University

1. All grants have identified slots. It will automatically close to all other qualified applicants once the identified slots have been reached.
2. Scholarship applications will be subject to screening and approval by FEU Admissions and Financial Assistance.
