Far Eastern University alumnus Ezra Acayan was named “Photographer of the Year” in the International Photography Awards Philippines for his work “Blood in the Streets”.
Acayan, who graduated Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising Arts in 2016, is a documentary and editorial photographer based in Manila whose work primarily focuses on social issues and human rights.
Over 5,000 entries joined this year’s competition, which include Filipino photographers from all over the world, according to IPA Philippines.
Acayan’s work will be showcased and compete in the 14th Annual Lucie Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York City this October 2017. The Lucie Awards is the premiere annual event honoring the greatest achievements in photography.
