FEU Communication students’ radio ad “Hubad na Kamangmangan” earned the Grand Winner recognition at the Araw Value Awards Student Competition for Advocacy Communications.
Students from the FEU Department of Communication were feted during the 2019 ARAW Values Advertising Awards held last January 31, 2020 at ABS-CBN Studio 10. Their “Hubad na Kamangmangan” radio ad won in the Students’ Competition Division of the Respect and Care for Life and Dignity and the Rights For All segment.
The ad was produced in the Introduction to Communication Media course of the students under the supervision of Prof. Nikko B Visperas. Members of the group include Angelika May Llarena, Olivia Sofia Domingo, Jeffrey Christian Lapena, Thriscia Lee Lapena, Thriscia Lee Rosacena, Steven Jeff Aquino and Richard Renz Medina.
The Araw Values Awards is organized by the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines to uphold positive Filipino values through responsible advertising. The foundation received over 400 entries that touched on the ARAW cornerstone values of love of God; commitment to truth, honesty, and integrity; love of country and respect for national customs and traditions; reverence for family unit or marriage or responsible parenthood; respect and care for human life, dignity and the rights of all; respect for law and authority and the promotion of self- discipline; and concern for and preservation of the environment.
