About International Relations Office
The unprecedented success of internationalization programs of Linkages and Mobility Office (LMO) in the last few years has enthused Far Eastern University to create the International Relations Office (IRO). IRO is the university central office for policy groundwork, policy implementation and monitoring of academic internationalization. The main responsibilities are to activate, raise awareness, coordinate and facilitate initiatives on internationalization and international cooperation.
Anchored on the Policy Framework and Strategies on the Internationalization of Philippine’s Higher Education, FEU’s Quality Education Aspiration, and Accreditation’s Regulatory Excellence, IRO’s specific task is to ensure proactive, dynamic and continues home-based and cross-border internationalization activities for the various academic programs. In addition, IRO is mandated to develop a progressive international collaboration with reputable higher educational institutions, industry partners, organizations, and associations all over the globe in support of FEU’s vision to produce highly-qualified graduates that can compete and adopt to national, regional, and international professional environment.
Programs and Offerings
FEU-IRO internationalization effort is rests on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of FEU and its partner Higher Educational Institutions across the globe in the following areas:
This includes inbound and outbound student exchange program, camp or summer program, short and long-term trainings and workshops, conferences and networks to build international perspective, travel and learn program, and open/distance e-learning programs.
This includes inbound and outbound faculty exchange (e.g. visiting professor), teaching collaboration, shorte and long-term faculty development program, conferences to build international networks, travel and learn program, and open/distance e-learning programs.
This includes twinning programs, dual programs, degree transfer, academic franchising, program articulation program, joint or double program awards.
This includes joint research projects with international content; international conferences, seminars, workshops; linkage with international research partners, research fellowship/ collaboration involving visit of scholars to different countries and travel of faculty or researchers
Moreover, IRO also serves as global platform of FEU for students, faculty and administrative staff for multiple opportunities and programs all over the world in the following strands:
