2017 International Conference on International Studies


The Department of International Studies in cooperation with the Philippine International Studies Organization (PhISO) will host the International Conference on International Studies with theme “Disciplining the Discipline: The History, Theory and Practice of International Relations in the Philippines” and International Workshop on “Exploring Global South Contributions in International Relations” in partnership with the Global South Caucus of International Studies.

The conference will be held on March 8 to 10, 2017, at the Mini Auditorium, Technology Building.

This three day international conference will gather emerging academics, international experts, students, and practitioners to present empirical, theoretical and methodological papers that aim to trace and map the evolution of the international relations discipline in the Philippines.

Furthermore, the conference will also present papers that deepen and expand our understanding of the wide spectrum of approaches in International Relations as well as various trends and issues confronting the international community. Also, critical reflections from several IR practitioners will be gathered to discuss trends in the study of World Politics.
