Course Description

A 4-year program on the theory and practice of international politics and relations. It prepares the students for relevant and gainful participation in the global economic, socio-cultural and political activities and undertakings.

The department envisions our graduates to be the partner of choice locally and internationally for their eminent roles in socio-economic, cultural and political challenges of the society and the complexities of the world today.

The Department of International Studies is committed to provide effective program designed to equip the students with the knowledge and applicable skills in the service for the country.

Through open communications, it prepares the students for relevant and gainful opportunities/ participation in the global economic, socio-cultural and political undertakings for the challenges of understanding public affairs and contemporary international issues.

Objectives
The Department of International Studies as a program functions as integral instructional arm with enhanced provisions on international relations and studies. With its relevant and dynamic disciplines, learners are significantly expected to;
a. demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of international relations and studies.
b. respond to global trends and demands on both local and international issues.
c. comprehend the variance of culture and socioeconomic and political structures on both local and international scenarios.
d. sustain a strong hallmarks of knowledge on theory and on practice as well as on world
politics and international institutions.
e. critically examine international relations and global business relationships relevant to encompassing grasp on international politics.
f. establish the virtues on international relation towards better manifestation on culture of interdependence as virtually encouraged in international communities.
