FEU Institute of Arts and Sciences led by Acting-Dean Dr. Jose Edwardo Mamaat, Associate Dean Mark Salvador Ysla and program heads welcomed students and faculty members from National Taitung University in Taiwan on January 23-25, 2019.

They immediately got a taste of FEU culture as they were treated to a performance by the FEU Bamboo Band and were given a tour of the campus led by the FEU Guides.

Selected students and faculty members from the Biological Sciences, Psychology, and Medical Technology Departments then met with the NTTU delegation and exchanged ideas and knowledge about their respective researches and explored ways on how to enhance research cooperation in the area of biomedical sciences. The visitors also toured laboratories used by FEU students and faculty members.

The Medical Technology Department also arranged an immersion program in one of their affiliated hospitals for the NTTU delegation to have first-hand information about the laboratories and equipment being used by the hospital. Initial talks were made for possible exchange programs, research collaboration, and a Memorandum of Agreement to solidify the partnership between the two institutions.

This visit was made possible in close cooperation with the FEU Institute of Technology and the Linkage and Mobility Office of FEU.
