Two memoranda of agreement were signed by Far Eastern University for industry standards elevation and monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

The FEU Academy and Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM) sealed its partnership with Bacolod Chicken Inasal on the training, professional development, and service excellence of its students, thus bringing together academic expertise and real-world hospitality practice to elevate industry standards.

This partnership highlights FEU’s commitment to producing industry-ready professionals while supporting organizations dedicated to excellence in service and hospitality, an ITHM faculty commented.

“Our partnership with FEU Academy and [ITHM] reflects our family restaurant’s commitment to quality, homey, and clean food service, rooted in warm hospitality and memorable dining experiences,” said Jose Mari Tanalgo, General Manager, Bacolod Chicken Inasal.

The MOA signing was attended by FEU Vice President for Student Development and Continuing Education Dr. Joeven R. Castro; FEU Academy Executive Director Dr. Melinda D. Torres; FEU Makati Director Earl Joseph M. Borgoña; ITHM Associate Dean John Lester Tuason; Cafe Alfredo Manager Dr. Driselle Pajuyo; Hotel and Restaurant Management Department Associate Chair Mae Jhay Cal; and FEU Academy Coordinator Matthew James Gotauco, alongside Bacolod Chicken Inasal representatives Raynee Rhea Tanalgo, Ma. Theresa Tanalgo, Mary Rose Meim, Mikkel Amico Tanalgo, Sharon Isturis, and Jecel Comola.

Meanwhile, FEU strengthened its commitment to evidence-based learning and professional capacity building through a MOA with the Association of Monitoring and Evaluation Professionals of the Philippines (AMEP-P).

The partnership marks a significant step toward advancing education and practice in M&E through a practitioner-led diploma course designed to bridge theory and real-world application, said one academic manager.

“Monitoring and evaluation is not just about compliance—it is about empowering stakeholders to use evidence in designing programs, evaluating outcomes, and advancing policies that make a real difference. Through this diploma course, carefully crafted and practitioner-led, combining theory with real-world experience, [AMEP-P] and FEU Academy are committed to building the capacity of professionals and organizations to deliver results and drive lasting development impact,” said Enrique Lozari, president, AMEP-P.

Also at the MOA signing were AMEP-P Vice President Maria Corazon P. Jose and FEU Academy representatives.

These collaborations reinforce FEU Academy’s mission to deliver relevant, impactful, and practitioner-driven learning as these equip professionals with the tools needed to drive meaningful development outcomes.

The dual MOA signing ceremony was held last April 7 in FEU Makati.
