About the Piece
The tamaraw is the flagship species of the Philippines and is a beloved symbol of Far Eastern University. Transformed into a bronze sculpture by Peter de Guzman, it is placed, not on a pedestal but in the lush grounds of the University garden. It is an anstonishing life-like verisimilitude often mistaken by a visitor as a live creature.
