Special groups are awarded to undergraduate applicants with orthopedic disabilities or those belong to indigenous groups with a family income of not more than P360,000 per year.
I. Eligibility
- Filipino citizen of good moral character
- FEUCAT results of at least average rating or GWA of at least 2.0
II. Requirements
- Duly accomplished Application form with two (2) 2×2 colored pictures with white background (taken at least a month prior to application)
- Two (2) recommendation letters from school administrators, faculty, tribe leader, and the like (attach photocopy of valid ID of the recommender) addressed to the AFA Director
- Latest tax exemption certificate or income tax return of both parents
- Good moral certification from Senior High School (for incoming first-year students) or from Student Discipline Office (for enrolled applicants)
- Latest health certification from the University Health Service
- Latest guidance clearance from the University Guidance & Counseling Office for enrolled applicants
III. Benefits
- Full tuition plus assessed miscellaneous fees discount
- Can be continuously availed of for 4 years/5 years (depending on the degree program) provided that the grantee complies with the retention requirements
IV. Retention Requirements
- Must have enrolled courses equivalent to the number of units required for the semester based on the student’s respective curriculum
- Must pass the program QPA requirement
- No major offense
- No failing grade
