The Far Eastern University (FEU) Men’s Volleyball Team successfully defended their crown in the 2025 V-League Collegiate Challenge, defeating the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Spikers in a thrilling best-of-three finals series. In the winner-take-all Game 3 held on October 10, 2025, the Tamaraws delivered a hard-earned sweep, 25–15, 25–22, 25–23, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
While the defending champions shut down top-seed DLSU in Games 2 and 3, their journey to the top was far from smooth. The Tamaraws finished the elimination round with a 4–3 record, absorbing tough losses from DLSU, University of Santo Tomas (UST), and College of Saint Benilde. In the semifinals, FEU and rival UST traded dominant wins in Games 1 and 2. In the decisive Game 3, the Tamaraws edged out UST in straight sets, 25–23, 29–27, 25–19, to earn their spot in the finals.
FEU’s hold on the title looked in jeopardy after DLSU claimed a three-set win in Game 1. However, the Tamaraws bounced back with a statement victory in Game 2, regaining momentum and confidence. Fueled by their experience and the breakthrough win over the elimination-round leaders, FEU played near-perfect volleyball in the final match to secure their second straight V-League championship.
Just like last season, Dryx Saavedra was named Finals Most Valuable Player. With this victory, FEU also qualified to compete in the upcoming Spikers’ Turf tournament, which features semi-professional volleyball clubs.
