About the Job

Far Eastern University (FEU) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Surveyor to join our team in our Manila City office. This full-time role is responsible for conducting comprehensive technical surveys and assessments to support our Procurement Office. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital part in ensuring the successful delivery of our infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Quantity Surveys for all infrastructure-related projects and capital expenditures.
• Conduct on-site inspections and physical measurements to verify project scopes and ensure survey accuracy.
• Analyze engineering plans, architectural drawings, and technical specifications to determine precise material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Support the Procurement team in the technical evaluation of vendor proposals, contractor qualifications, and bid assessments.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization, or procurement efficiencies through technical analysis and market awareness.
• Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and budgets by providing accurate quantity-based cost projections.
• Collaborate with the applicable FTS department to understand project requirements while maintaining independent technical validation under the Controller’s direction.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Engineering (with relevant experience in construction, project estimation, or infrastructure development).
• At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, project planning, or a comparable technical field, preferably involving infrastructure or capital projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret survey data and identify solutions
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate sketches and reports.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
