To mark the culmination of senior Tamaraws’ journey as college students, Far Eastern University’s Academic Services, in collaboration with Career and Placement Office, Student Development Office, and Institute Student Councils organized the Send-Off Celebration for the graduating class of 2024 last July 5.

Despite the downcast weather, the celebratory activities were attended by Tamaraw seniors and other university stakeholders. Various booths were put up by the Institute Student Councils and some concessionaires in the Pavilion where candidates for graduation received their send-off souvenirs. They were also welcomed with congratulatory messages on the entrance screens as they tapped their IDs at Gate 4.

In the afternoon, a Eucharistic celebration was held at the FEU Chapel. After which, the graduating class marched around on campus per institute, led by the FEU Drum and Bugle Corps.

At the University Grandstand, the program commenced with a speech from FEU President, Juan Miguel R. Montinola. He acknowledged the challenges the class of 2024 underwent, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic. He also highlighted the importance of the experiences they gained during their stay in the university.

“As you step forward into the world, remember that the skills and knowledge you have gained here will serve as a strong foundation for your future endeavors. Your perseverance in continuing your education, participation in campus activities, and the relationships you have built along the way have all contributed to your personal and professional growth,” said Montinola.

He also informed the graduating class about the services FEU would continue to provide for its alumni.

“FEU is here to assist [you] in any way even after you graduate. For those preparing for board exams, we offer free refresher sessions for some board programs which can complement your reviews with third-party review centers. For all students, our Career and Placement Office is here to assist you in the best way possible for opportunities in your chosen field,” said Montinola.
