Seeking to promote sustainability as a core principle for industry growth and community impact, the Far Eastern University’s Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management held its Tourism Expert Lecture Symposium last April 25 at the Main Auditorium.

Industry experts including Errol Chicano, Navila Bonga, Francisco Narvaez, and Jacqueline Timola shared their insights on port development, improving passenger experiences, and creating sustainable marketing strategies. The discussions highlighted the urgent need for environmentally responsible practices to ensure long-term viability. The event also promoted collaboration among students, professionals, and educators, with a strong push for innovation and responsible tourism led by Dr. Chrisdie Flores-Tongol, chair of the Tourism Management Department.
