Far Eastern University (FEU) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the academic and professional growth of higher education personnel by participating in the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the CHED Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) on August 13, 2025, at the CHED Head Office in Quezon City.

The CHED SIKAP Program aims to provide academic and non-academic staff from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with opportunities to pursue advanced degrees, further enhancing the quality of education and services within the sector.

In his message during the event, CHED NCR Regional Director Dr. Jimmy G. Catanes expressed his appreciation to the HEIs across the National Capital Region for embracing the mission of supporting the academic advancement of HEI personnel.

Representing FEU at the event were Dr. Michelle S. Acomular, Vice President for Admissions and Financial Assistance (AFA), Mr. Eugeene Benicta, Director of AFA and Ms. Jean Pauline Valencia, Assistant Manager for Financial Assistance. Their presence underscored FEU’s active role as a CHED-recognized Delivering Higher Education Institution for the SIKAP Program.

As part of its commitment, FEU is opening 15 Master’s programs and 7 Doctorate programs exclusively for accepted SIKAP Scholars starting SY 2025–2026. This expansion will give qualified educators and non-teaching staff access to a wide array of graduate programs across education, business, communication, psychology, and other fields.

With its participation in this initiative, FEU continues to align with CHED’s vision of empowering educators and non-teaching staff, ultimately contributing to the elevation of higher education standards in the country.
