Far Eastern University Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (FEU-ITHM) recently held the first installment of its Senior High School Certification and Articulation Program SHS-CAP): Brave and Resilient Webinar Series. Co-organized with the FEU Admissions and Financial Assistance, the webinars aim to guide Senior High School on career opportunities as well to introduce methods for them to easily cope with major changes in life and mentally prepare them for their future.

The series will run from October 2020 to July 2021. The first episode held on October 14, 2020 centered on ideas on the background of tourism and hospitality industries and career opportunities. In addition to showcasing its well-constructed curriculum and internship programs, the webinar featured testimonials from FEU ITHM alumni. The graduates shared their own stories on how they reached certain goals with the help of the teachings they learned in college.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic severely hurting the tourism and hospitality around the word, there is growing optimism that a major resurgence will happen. Opportunities are still abundant in the said sectors and students who have had long interest to be part of these are encouraged to pursue their aspirations. The second installment of the webinar series is scheduled on November 11.
