Far Eastern University-Institute of Accounts, Business, and Finance (FEU-IABF) honored and celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of its students, host companies, and faculty advisers, who exemplified excellence during the internship season in their first “Achieving Success through Commitment, Excellence, and New Directions (ASCEND)” recognition day.

Divided into two sessions, ASCEND catered to the different degree programs of FEU IABF Manila and IABF Makati campuses.

The first session was dedicated for Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Bachelor of Science in Internal Auditing students. It opened with a keynote address by lawyer Romeo Lumagui, Jr., commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Lumagui provided his insights on professional integrity, public service, and the evolving role of finance professionals in national development.

Meanwhile, the second session was intended for Bachelor of Science in Business Administration students of both campuses. Deepak Verma, head of Deals and Corporate Actions at the London Stock Exchange Group, spoke on how to become successful professionals by emphasizing attitude over skills and knowledge.

Both sessions also featured the presentation of awards and recognitions to the Outstanding Host Companies, for their support and mentorship; Outstanding Apprentices, who demonstrated exemplary performance during their apprenticeship; and Outstanding Advisers, for their guidance and commitment to student development.

Department heads of IABF also extended their congratulations, acknowledging the hard work and accomplishments of all the student apprentices.
