The FEU Work Immersion Office (WIO), under the Career Development Office (CDev), serves as the coordinating unit for the University’s Work Immersion Program.
It is committed to providing structured, relevant, and meaningful work immersion experiences that allow students to apply classroom learning in actual or simulated workplace environments, develop essential workplace competencies, gain a better understanding of career pathways, and experience the professional culture of the FEU community.
FEU Institute-Based Work Immersion
Academic institutes may provide work immersion experiences aligned with the students’ strand and prospective fields of study. Activities may include laboratory-based exercises, classroom-based professional activities, demonstrations, simulations, workshops, and other appropriate learning experiences facilitated by qualified FEU faculty and personnel.
The concerned institute develops the appropriate learning modules and implements the activities in coordination with the Work Immersion Office.
Future External Industry Work Immersion
The Work Immersion Office may coordinate in the future with accredited external companies, organizations, institutions, and other industry partners to provide students with opportunities for workplace exposure outside the University.
External placements are designed to provide students with experiences relevant to their academic strand and career interests while observing appropriate workplace, safety, confidentiality, data privacy, and other applicable requirements.
Career Exploration and Industry Engagement
The Work Immersion Office facilitates activities that help students understand different professions, industries, and career pathways. These may include career talks, industry orientations, professional sharing sessions, workplace briefings, and other engagement activities involving FEU faculty, professionals, alumni, and industry practitioners.
Partner School Coordination
The Work Immersion Office coordinates with FEU Senior High School and partner or feeder schools in planning and implementing work immersion activities. Coordination includes program requirements, student grouping, deployment arrangements, schedules, documentation, fees and costing, orientation, and other implementation concerns.
