Far Eastern University- Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (FEU-ITHM) forged new partnerships with Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Laguna Tourism, Culture Arts and Trade Office (LTCATO) for their internship program this SY2022-2023.
DOT is a national government agency responsible for promoting and developing the existing and potential local tourism destinations in the Philippines. It also implements laws that will regulate tourism-related establishments.
LTCATO is in charge of creating projects and strategies for the development of the province’s tourist attractions. Likewise, it promotes the culture and heritage of Laguna.
DOT and LTCATO will lend their expertise to train the students on how to apply the theories they learned in school to real-life situations. Additionally, it will help students further hone their 21st-century skills to boost their employability. ITHM continues to strengthen its industry partnerships and linkages with reputable professional organizations to give students a valuable internship experience.
