Two FEU BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management Society students were part of the winning teams in the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education Global Revenue Management (THE-ICE GRM) Challenge 2021.

A total of 55 students representing 10 institutions around the world participated in THE-ICE GRM Challenge 2021. They were grouped into international and inter-institutional teams and competed in an innovative challenge that tested their hospitality and tourism revenue management skills.

John Guile Cruz was part Team 7 that won 1st place, while Lorraine Dayle Laconsay was part of Team 9 that copped 3rd place.

Cruz and his teammates from other schools were awarded with a $AUS1500 scholarship to any member of THE-ICE, and free registration on the Certification in Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Industry Analytics (CAHTA) offered by STR SHARE Center and on the Hospitality Business Acumen (HBA) Certificate program offered by Russell Partnership Technology.

FEU ITHM faculty Dr. Anna Pamela O. Jonson served as the winning team’s mentor.

Meanwhile, Laconsay and his teammates received free registration on the Hospitality Business Acumen (HBA) Certificate program.

Other FEU ITHM students who participated in the THE-ICE GRM were Joshua Bogador, Kate Samantha Caballa, John Meynard Chan, Hal Ethan Constantino, Nehemiah Ferrer, Mae Antonette Lacsa, Ace Gabrielle Macalinao, and Maria Ysabel Mendiola.
