Far Eastern University bagged 1st place in the Hapag-Ani Cook Off Challenge held at SigloKalikasan Farm last June 12, 2023.
The competition, which was in celebration of the Siglo ‘23 Festival, required the use of hyperlocal ingredients found in the farm and several mystery items.
The team from the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management was composed of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management students Joseph Rafael Lumboy, Ivan Gabrielle Babilonia, Natalie Cayra Mejia, and Aira Rocel Dimalig and faculty Chef Racky Alvarez Masa and Dr. Mark De Luna Alvero.
Showing exemplary culinary skills, creativity, and teamwork, the ITHM produced the following winning dishes:
- Tinilok (herb spiced chicken soup with mustard and lemon grass)
- Dumplok (Steamed farm spiced chicken wrapped in Chicken skin)
- Sisiglok (Sauted chicken with celery mustard and string beans)
