“We are always eager for these updates to inform our stakeholders, especially our faculty members, enabling them to enhance face-to-face and online communication and engagement with students,” said Catherine Catamora, director of the FEU Education Technology (EdTech) Office, on the importance of the Canvas User Group PH event.

Last Nov. 15, the FEU EdTech team composed of Ms. Catamora, coordinator Richmond Lim, specialists Sam Kevin Saclayan and Christian Lemuel Afundar and LMS Administrator Lloyd Mark Nicolas attended the Canvas User Group PH event at the University of the Asia and the Pacific, Pasig City. The event was attended by all Canvas users from various colleges and universities in the Philippines.

Canvas User Group PH aims to connect Canvas users to address problems and communicate solutions shared by different schools and institutions. Specifically, the event’s objectives were: (1) to discover Canvas best practices for blended learning; (2) stay up to date with product presentations showcasing the latest Canvas features and updates; (3) dive into Canvas usage and admin analytics; and (4) engage in insightful breakout sessions.

The event is necessary for various institutions to obtain and impart benchmarking for the improvement of the university’s use of the learning management system. This also keeps the faculty members and students to stay updated on the latest enhancements of Canvas.
