Dr. Henry Heng, Chief Executive Officer of Nanyang Polytechnic International (NYPi) visited Far Eastern University (FEU) to further strengthen the partnership between the two HEIs through numerous projects collaboration across all common programs but particularly in business, communication, and fine arts.
FEU President Juan Miguel R. Montinola warmly welcomed the visitors from NYPi and expressed “it was a good opportunity to exchange views with Dr Heng and his team on work opportunities and fields of interest for our graduates as the precursor to additional collaboration initiatives”.
The partnership started through a recommendation from the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) in 2018.
“CHED endorsed a university which was a brilliant match particularly for our Nursing and Health Sciences discipline,” Dr. Heng said.
The current partnership collaborations include a short-term student exchange program with the Institute of Health Sciences and Nursing, co-delivery of an international business management course with the Institute of Accounts, Business & Finance, and benchmarking with the Departments of Business Administration, Communication, and Fine Arts. FEU is also co-delivering the CHED International Continuing Program for Education, Innovation in Teaching and Learning to Industry 4.0 and Smart Nation through its International Relations Office.
Dr. Heng was accompanied by NYPi Director Ms. Esther Bay and Senior Manager Dr. Judy Emily during his visit to FEU.
Also present in welcoming the company of Dr. Heng were Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Teresa Trinidad P. Tinio, Vice President for Corporate Affairs Rowena Capulong Reyes, and Vice President for Academic Development Evangeline P. Bautista.
